U.S. Newspaper Company Knight Ridder Being Sold

Word is spreading quickly via news sources that Knight Ridder is being sold to McClatchy, a smaller newspaper industry rival. Knight Ridder is the former owner of Dialog (now owned by Thomson). In 1994 KR created a joint venture with Canadian media company Southam to create Infomart Dialog (now FP Infomart). See: Knight Ridder history.
