Women’s Law Association of Ontario - Alternative Careers in Law

The Women's Law Association of Ontario (WLAO) and the Law Society of Upper Canada will be presenting a program on alternative careers in law the evening of May 6th. From the program:

I think it's fabulous that these programs are being offered, but i have to admit i'm disappointed that no group seems to offer a program like this that is open to men. I don't expect WLAO to offer such a program because that's not their mandate, but is there a general assumption within the profession that men wouldn't be interested in alternative legal careers?

Women now represent 50 per cent or more of law school graduates in Ontario, according to the report.
